KUALA LUMPUR, 1ST AUGUST 2015 – Asian Geos (AG) has reached another significant milestone: working seven million hours without a lost time injury. The total safety man-hours are an accumulation of various contracts that AG has performed for its mainly Oil and Gas clients since 2008.

The achievement spans AG’s twelve-year history as well as work carried out mostly in Malaysia, Southeast Asia and now the Middle East. Despite the current challenging time with the continued slowdown in the oil and gas industry, AG has kept focusing on managing the health and safety of its employees.

This milestone could only have been achieved with employees’ dedication to keeping each other safe. “Safety is at the core of who we are as a company. Our commitment to each other ensures that we fulfill our promise that our employees return home safely to their loved ones in the same condition they left for work that day. Reaching seven million hours without a lost time injury is only possible when every employee looks out for their fellow workers and makes a conscious decision to keep them safe,” stated Dato’ Helmi Zulkawi, Managing Director of the AG Group.

AG, which has offices in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Abu Dhabi, is the region’s leading provider of offshore geotechnical investigation and geophysical site survey and environmental services to the offshore oil and gas industry through consistent and robust delivery of a range of services and solutions through the life-cycle of marine, drilling and survey assets.

“At Asian Geos, we have a saying – ‘your safety is my responsibility’. Our employees know that looking out for one another, like we would our own family, is how a milestone like this is achieved,” remarked AG’s Head of QHSE, Aidill Sapary Tamin.

Congratulations and thanks to everyone in AG!
