Capability & Experience
AG Group provides geotechnical investigation and geophysical survey services to support mainly the local and international O & G and marine-related sectors.
For geotechnical, it operates three dedicated geotechnical investigation vessels, the MV Geos, MV Volans and the DP vessel Geoasia (f.k.a. Lady Christine). Each vessel is equipped with a drilling rig, wireline cone penetrometer testing (CPT), sampling and soils laboratory equipment. In addition, the AG Group continues to own a number of units of marine geotechnical drilling rigs that can be mounted on third party vessels or vessels of opportunity.
With access to an expanded fleet of geotechnical vessels and drilling rigs, the AG Group can offer its clients a fully comprehensive service for offshore, near shore and onshore site investigations.
In addition to the conventional shallow water soil boring operations, the AG Group is also capable of providing wireline piston sampler and Seabed CPT in deepwater. The AG group can take advantage of the substantial number of Seabed CPTs readily available within the stable of Gardline Geosciences. The DP vessel MV Geoasia, will be the platform for the company to enhance its deepwater capabilities.
AG Group also offers its customers a full range of geophysical services. Whilst analogue surveys have been typically carried out from its geotechnical vessels, the 2D high-resolution survey is carried out using the MV Dayang Sari.
AG Groups professional team has the expertise to tailor make solutions to meet the diverse requirements of each of its clients, thereby providing innovative and highly competitive services.
The AG Group has over 200 employees and the number is growing to meet the project demands.
AG Group has been providing offshore geotechnical survey services to a number of oil majors and independent operators since 2003. Its track-records are virtually worldwide covering projects in South America, Europe, Africa, the Caspian Sea, South Asia, South East Asia, Australia and China.
AG Group has also been performing offshore survey works mainly in the Southeast Asia region from its geotechnical vessels or from vessels of opportunity.
